Elijah declares that he alone is the true prophet of God. The tapestry is considerably abstract. The only hint of a figurative component is the central form, characterizing Elijah. He is surrounded by a sea of enemies, the false prophets, who are represented in the tapestry by very abstract elements of sour and sordid colors, in contrast to Elijah’s soft tones.
