Storm in the Bible

In the Bible, storms represent many different things. They symbolize transcendent majesty. They wondrously proclaim the power of Nature, or appear as a veiled manifestation of Divine omnipotence. They evoke the intervention of God here on earth. However, God is not only an awesome presence that inspires sacred terror but also an intimate presence speaking softly to man. Storms are a fearsome calamity, perhaps a sign to God’s enemies, but also the benevolent granting of fertility.

The storm being a natural phenomenon that both attracts and scares me at the same time, I have chosen for this series three ferocious and dramatic images inspired by biblical verses.
